Privacy
This website is operated by Galisteo Media Arts (“we”). It is the website for American Boogeyman: Karl Marx in America. We collect as little as possible and we never sell your information.
What we collect
- If you sign up with “Keep me updated”: your email address, the date and time you signed up, the country your connection came from, and which version of this notice was shown to you. Nothing else.
- Email opens and clicks: our emails can record whether they were opened and which links were clicked, so we can tell what is useful. Most email apps let you block this by turning off images.
- Visit statistics: anonymous, cookie-free page-view counts (Cloudflare Web Analytics). These do not identify you or follow you across other sites.
- Security check: when you submit the form, Cloudflare Turnstile briefly checks that the request comes from a person, not a bot.
We do not use cookies, advertising trackers or social-media pixels, and we do not store IP addresses.
How we use your email address
To send you a thank-you email when you sign up, and then news and updates about American Boogeyman and about other projects from Galisteo Media Arts and its subsidiaries. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
We never sell or rent your email address. We share it only with:
- Service providers that work on our behalf, such as our hosting provider and the service we use to send email. They may use it only to provide those services to us.
- Our subsidiaries and affiliates: Galisteo Media Arts’ subsidiaries and other companies under common ownership or control with it, for the same purposes described here.
- Project partners: companies we work with on our projects, such as co-producers, distributors, broadcasters, streaming services and publishers, so that they can send you news about those projects. Partners may not use your email address for their own unrelated marketing.
- When required: if the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a merger, financing or sale of our business, in which case this notice will continue to apply.
Once a project partner has your email address, its own privacy policy also applies to how it handles it.
Where it is kept
Your email address is stored securely with our hosting provider, Cloudflare, and with the service we use to send email, Kit, both in the United States, and is always sent over an encrypted connection. If you are outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and stored in the United States.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until we no longer need it for the purposes above. We also keep weekly backup copies of the list, in the same secure storage, which are deleted automatically after eight weeks. If you ask us to delete your address, it may remain in a backup until that backup expires.
Your choices
Every email we send will include an unsubscribe link. You can also ask us at any time to show you, correct or delete what we hold about you. When you ask us to delete your information, we will also ask any partners we have shared it with to delete it.
Children
This website is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this notice, we will update this page and the date below. We will not use information we already hold in a materially different way without telling you first.
Effective November 8, 2026.
